Surfer Updates:
Math- We are wrapping up Unit 5 in Math which covers Area, Perimeter, Multiplication
and Division! I am also quizzing students on Multiplication with the 6’s, 7’s, 8’s and 9’s facts.
Please continue working with your children at home on Multiplication using flash cards or xtramath.com.
Language Arts: We are working on reading comprehension for our online comprehension tests.
This is great practice for our State Test coming up in a few weeks. Students are practicing reading
articles and passages and taking quizzes online for test prep.
Homework Log: Continue Reading for 20-30 minutes each day. Also, if you would like your
children to start practicing for the State Test, the website is:

Open House: Please come to Open House on Wednesday, May 1st from 5-7 p.m.
Pasta King will be here from 5-6 and Classroom Visits are from 6-7. I look forward to seeing you all there!
Field Trip!!!! We have another field trip coming up! Students will be playing their recorders at the
Symphony on Thursday, May 2nd. Please have your students bring their recorders to school each
day so we can practice the song that they will play at the symphony.
State Testing Dates: May 6-8. Please avoid scheduling doctor’s/dentist’s/Disneyland appointments :)
during these days. We need to make sure the children are here and focused for testing on these days!

Surfer Actualizaciones:
Matemáticas- Estamos terminando de unidad 5 de matemáticas que abarcan el área, perímetro, multiplicación y división.
También les doy cuestionarios a estudiantes sobre multiplicación con el 6, 7, 8 y de 9 hechos.
Por favor seguir trabajando con sus hijos en casa en multiplicación usando tarjetas flash o
xtramath.com.
Artes de Lenguaje: Estamos trabajando en la comprensión de nuestras pruebas en línea de
comprensión de lectura. Se trata de gran práctica para nuestro estado en un par de semanas.
Los estudiantes están practicando los pasos y leer artículos y tomar pruebas en línea para preparar.
Registro de Tarea: Continuar leyendo por 20-30 minutos cada día. Tambien, si quieren que sus

Paseo Escolar! Tenemos otro paseo que viene! Los estudiantes van a tocar en el sinfonía el jueves sus flautas,
2 de mayo. Por favor tenga sus niño traer su flauta a la escuela cada día para practicar el canción que van
tocar el dia del sinfonia.
Fechas de las Pruebas Estatal: 6-8 de mayo: .Evite programar del médico / dentista / Disneyland citas :)
durante estos días. Necesitamos hacer que los niños estén aquí y centrado para la prueba en estos días.
