Surfer Updates:
Math- We are starting Unit 5 in Math which covers Area, Perimeter, Multiplication and Division! I am also quizzing students on Multiplication
with the 5’s, 6’s and 7’s facts. Please continue working with your children at home on Multiplication using flash cards or xtramath.com.
Language Arts: We are wrapping up our Opinion writing unit! Students have found their voice in their writing while convincing the reader
why they feel strongly about something. This has been a fun unit for us to work on.
Homework Log: Continue Reading for 20-30 minutes each day. Thank you for reviewing the comprehension pages with your students!

Field Trip!!!! We are going to the hatchery to release our fish back into their natural habitat on Wednesday, April 3rd.
I sent out an email to our chaperones with details. I need a parent to come in at 7:45 a.m. on the 3rd to help “fish” the trout out of our tank. Please let me know if you would like to help with that!
Spring Concert: Mark your calendars!!! Monday, April 15th is our Spring Concert at 9:15 a.m.
Please make sure your students wear black bottoms and white tops. Also, please make sure they
have their recorders that day. I hope to see you all there!
Testing Dates: May 6-8. Please avoid scheduling doctor’s/dentist’s/Disneyland appointments :)
during these days. We need to make sure the children are here and focused for testing on these days!

Matemáticas- Iniciamos la unidad 5 en matemáticas que cubre el área, perímetro, multiplication and division!
Yo también estoy dando cuestionarios a los estudiantes sobre multiplicación con hechos de 5’s, 6’s and 7’s. Por favor continúa trabajando con sus niños en casa en multiplicación usando cartas o xtramath.com.
Artes de Lenguaje: Estamos terminando nuestra unidad de escritura de opinión. Los estudiantes han encontrado su voz en su escritura mientras
que convencer al lector porque se sienten fuertemente sobre algo. Esto ha sido un divertido trabajo en este unidad.

Paseo Escolar! Vamos a la incubadora para liberar nuestros peces en su hábitat natural el miércoles, 3 de abril. Envie un correo
electrónico a nuestros acompañantes con detalles. Necesito un padre a entrar en el 7:45 el 3 de abril para ayudar a pescar las truchas de nuestro
tanque. Por favor quiero saber si le gustaría ayudar con eso.
Concierto de primavera: Marque su calendario! El lunes, 15 de abril es nuestro concierto de primavera a las 9:15! Por favor asegurarse de que su
estudiante se viste con camisa/blusa blanco y pantalones/falda negro. También, asegurarse que tienen sus grabadoras ese dia. Espero verlos todos!
Fechas de pruebas: Mayo 6-8. Por favor evite programar citas de medico / dentista / Disneyland durante estos dias.
